Humanitarian Call for Action
Humanitarian assistance is urgently required in many conflicts around the world. Often, though, it fails to get through to those in need, or the humanitarian aid workers become targets. The Humanitarian Call for Action (CfA) compiles concrete measures and best practices to strengthen and better implement international humanitarian law and the humanitarian principles worldwide. The CfA shows states concrete ways in which they can help humanitarian organisations to provide needs-based aid.
The Humanitarian Call for Action has already been endorsed by the EU and 48 States worldwide: Albania, Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Benin, Bulgaria, Central African Republic, Chad, Chile, Costa Rica, Côte d’Ivoire, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Honduras, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxemburg, Mali, Maldives, Malta, Mexico, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Niger, North Macedonia, Norway, Paraguay, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Tunisia and Uruguay (latest Update: June 2021)
